Calling all hobby chefs!! 

We are looking for hobby chefs interested in presenting their favourite savoury dish to our hungry guests. If you would like to cook for any of our future event, please sign up below!

The whole meal deal...

Submit your dish idea by completing the form below. Please remember that you'll be cooking in your own home where you receive a total of eight guest over the course of an evening - four at each "seating". Guests are judges too and will rate your dish. This is a competition after all and you'll be competing against three other hobby chefs. 

Free dinner passes for you! You don’t have to pay to participate in the event but you will need to cover your food expenses. We don’t expect you to spend a fortune on your dish. Remember, good food does not have to be expensive! Also, you don’t have to serve full entrée portions because your guests will eat another dish at another hobby chef's home plus dessert. We are looking for bites – Social Bites! Ask your friend, husband, fiancée or neighbour to be your sous-chef. Cooking with a friend is way more fun! Also as a thank you for your hospitality, you and your sous-chef will each receive a FREE dinner pass for one of our next dinner excursions where you can be the judge. 

Your chance to win the Social Bites Hobby Chef Award! After dinner everyone is invited to the Social Bites Hot Spot for some sweet treats. At the end of the night the Social Bites Hobby Chef Award is presented based on our guests’ feedback. The winner will walk away with some great prizes. In the past winning hobby chefs were rewarded with gift certificates from companies such as Indishpensable, Vijs/Rangoli Market and Zipcar valued as high as $200!
